Attorneys will learn about both petition-based applications and more recently passed automated (“Clean Slate”) legislation and how that effects their clients.

Bart Kaspero is an associate with SKT Law P.C. in Huntington Beach CA where his primary focus is on criminal defense and regulatory compliance. His cases span across a broad range of “data-heavy” matters, such as: criminal record clearance, consumer data privacy, and special cases involving licensing and regulated industries under (CBP) Customs Border Protection, (BCC) Bureau of Cannabis Control, and select Proposition 65 matters.
In 2016, he obtained a Certification in BI/DW (“Business Intelligence Data Warehouse”) Technology from the University of California, Irvine – where his research on criminal record privacy was published in multiple legal journals including: Law of Technology, Innovation, and Media, Legal Perspectives in Information Systems, and Innovation Law & Policy.
That same year, the results of his research inspired him to design and develop RecordFixer.com, the first ever automated criminal record privacy app for consumers and lawyers.
His journey into finding a consumer-focused solution to criminal record privacy was featured in Digital Punishment: Privacy, Stigma, and the Harms of Data-Driven Criminal Justice (Oxford University Press 2020).
