Prior to becoming a trusted counselor, Christie L. Tournet earned over a decade of experience in construction and real estate.
Christie attended Loyola University in New Orleans and majored in Economics and International Business with a minor in Spanish. Prior to pursuing her Juris Doctorate at Loyola University, she also became a Louisiana state-wide commissioned Notary Public in 2007.
When Christie attended the evening division of law school, she continued to work full time and she received the LaNasa-Greco endowed scholarship in her second and third years of law school. Christie also received the Loyola Law Excellence Award in Probate. Before passing the 2011 Louisiana Bar, Christie also attained a Louisiana real estate salesperson license. She then immediately commenced working for a large, regional defense firm, where she handled construction and real estate litigation, worker’s compensation defense, estate plans, and successions.
In 2016, Christie started her own practice. Now, Christie’s hands-on experience in business management, real estate, and law permits her to appreciate her clients’ issues through a unique lens. Christie routinely provides customized and affordable estate plans. In completing those estate plans, she also assists clients with concerns related to special needs beneficiaries, business succession plans, and real estate.
Christie also assists clients with successions and trust administration. She utilizes her experience to counsel clients on when a succession should be opened, and if administration of an estate is necessary. She also routinely represents succession representatives and beneficiaries to an estate.
