Program Summary

Most clients do not understand the difference between Medicaid and Medicare or believe they cannot qualify for Medicaid financially. This program will explore how Medicaid programs for long-term care coverage differ from traditional community Medicaid and how your client may become eligible. Secondly, we will also explore the NJ Workability program which was recently expanded to offer health coverage for many more working individuals with disabilities by eliminating many of the financial eligibility requirements.

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • Institutional Medicaid vs Community Medicaid
  • Managed Long-Term Services and Supports waiver
  • Eligibility and Asset Preservation
  • NJ Workability Program
