It will cover the various types of Medicare audits and the process for appealing those audits. Participants will learn the process, time frames as well as gain information on best practices for avoiding Medicare appeals and audits and if necessary, how to effectively prepare for and defend against such audits. Necessarily included will be compliance dos and don’ts and what is expected of providers in internal self-auditing and training.

Courtney G. Tito, is a Partner at Nelson Mullins in its Boca Raton, Florida office. She is Board Certified in Health Law by the Florida Bar. Courtney counsels clients in federal and commercial payor audits, disputes and investigations. She also counsel clients regarding revocations and payment suspensions and in responding to federal subpoenas and civil investigative demands.
