This seminar will cover information every family law practitioner should know about drug use and testing, mental illness and family violence issues in custody cases. We will cover the best drug and alcohol testing methods, how to read them and how to best use those tests in litigation. We will discuss different types of mental illness and characteristics of those illnesses as well as a discussion on the DSM-V. Family violence and protective orders are also to be covered as well as the impact and solutions for custody cases involving family violence.
We will address the best types of experts for your case and how to use experts when these types of issues arise. Finally, we will discuss litigation techniques for cases involving impairment of a party or violence allegations. Our hope is to give you a basis of knowledge for what to do in custody cases where extreme facts are present that could effect the safety and wellbeing of either of the parties or the children.
