Minnesota CLE Requirements
CLE requirements for Minnesota attorneys.
Required credits
Minnesota attorneys are required to earn 45 credits, every (3) years. Including:
3 credit hours for Ethics or Professional Responsibility
2 credit hours for Elimination of Bias
1 Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder
Lawyer Reporting Categories
Category 1: July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024; July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027
Category 2: July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022; July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025
Category 3: July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023; July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026
Dates:
Due date for CLE: Credits are due by June 30th.
Reporting credits: All credits must be reported by August 31st.
Self-Study/On-Demand creditsMinnesota attorneys are limited to (30) hours of on-demand CLE credits. The remaining (15) hours must be earned via live CLE events or live-streamed online webinars.Additional information
