New Jersey CLE Requirements
CLE requirements for New Jersey attorneys.
Required credits
New Jersey attorneys are required to earn 24 credits every 2 years, including 5 credits in Ethics/Professionalism. At least 2 of those 5 must be in Diversity, Inclusion, and Elimination of Bias.
New Jersey attorneys are divided into two groups based on their birthdays:
Self-Study/On-Demand credits
A minimum of 12.00 credit hours must be taken as live programs. However, this rule has been relaxed to allow all 24.00 credits to be taken as alternative learning programs until further notice.
