Alex Schneider is Special Counsel in Kelley Drye’s D.C. office where he specializes in practical legal advice on privacy and consumer protection compliance.

Alex has extensive experience with a range of federal, state, and global privacy laws and often represents clients in FTC and State AG investigations and inquiries into marketing, data privacy, communications, and cybersecurity matters. Alex is well-versed on the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Kids Online Safety and Privacy Act of 2024 and advises clients regularly on kids’ privacy issues.

Prior to entering private practice, Alex served as a legal intern in FTC Commissioner Julie Brill’s office and in the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology and the Law under Chief Counsel Alvaro Bedoya.
