New York CLE RequirementsCLE requirements for New York attorneys.Required creditsNew York attorneys are required to earn 24 credits every 2 years, including 4 credits in Ethics and Professionalism, 1 credit in Diversity, Inclusion, and Elimination of Bias, and 1 credit in Cybersecurity, Privacy and Data Protection (effective since July 1, 2023).
Due date for CLE: Credits are due at the time of the attorney’s biennial registration.
Reporting credits: All credits must be reported at the time of the attorney’s biennial registration.
Reporting attendance: Attorneys in New York must file their attorney registration online.
