Program Summary

This program will help paralegals and associates develop a blueprint for developing and creating a trial notebook from start to finish. We will discuss the importance of pre-trial preparation and various organization techniques. We will examine the old school vs. the new school- out with the cumbersome paper binders and in with the electronic notebooks. We will discuss the importance of the paralegals and associates role in the court room and managing the trial notebook during the trial- you must know the note book and the exhibits better than the lawyer, because paralegals are the key players in a successful trial.

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • Early Preparation Strategies
  • Checklists and Organization Techniques
  • Mastering Electronic Trial Notebooks
  • Maximizing Trial Notebook Utility in the Courtroom
  • Case Studies and Real-World Applications

I graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I attended law school at North Carolina Central University School of Law. I was admitted to the Nevada bar in 2009. Over the years I have practiced in the areas of criminal defense, family law and general civil liability. I have extensive bench and jury trial experience and think being a litigator is one of the best parts of being a lawyer. When I am not advocating for my clients I am actively involved in giving back to my community in various philanthropic endeavors.
