Program Summary

This webinar will discuss dividing military pensions in divorce, highlighting changes to the law in recent years including the 2017 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) modifications to the manner of calculating division of military pensions in divorce; as well as DFAS’ new Blended Retirement System (BRS) effective 12/31/2018 that means many service members may have some combination of pension and Thrift Savings Plan that must be divided. In addition, survivor and other benefits will be discussed.
