Program Summary

Session I - Estate Planning and Will Drafting – Joel Krooks

On this session we’ll discuss estate planning in depth, drafting advance directives, a Last Will and Testament, Revocable Trusts and drafting Supplemental Needs Trusts. Estate planning is very important for all individuals to have and can have major consequences if not done correctly. I will outline the information that any attorney needs to gather from their client when doing an estate plan and how to issue spots when an attorney has the initial consultation with the client.

Joel Krooks, Esq. is an attorney admitted in the state of New York. He focuses his practice on Elder Law, Special Needs Planning and Estate Administration.

Prior to joining Littman Krooks, LLP, Mr. Krooks worked as an Estate Administrator at Fiduciary Trust Company International handling matters for high net worth individuals. He assisted in all phases of the administration of complex estates and terminating trusts. Mr. Krooks is a member of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section, Trust and Estates Section and Young Lawyers Section of the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Krooks received his Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
