Adam-Rossen_Rossen-Law-Firm_FedBarAdam Rossen, Esq. Founder & CEO | Rossen Law Firm

Hello, my name is Adam Rossen. I have worked as a skilled criminal defense attorney for over 15 years. I am the owner and CEO of Rossen Law Firm, the biggest criminal defense firm in Broward County. My team and I have put in a lot of effort to build a name for ourselves as providers of outstanding legal services.

My journey in the legal field began after I graduated from the University of Miami School of Law in 2006. I started as a prosecutor at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office, handling various criminal cases, from DUIs to drug offenses and violent crimes. This experience gave me invaluable insights into the criminal justice system; I now use this to benefit my clients.

In addition to being a criminal defense attorney, I’ve been a high school basketball coach for over 10 years. In a delightful twist of fate, I had the privilege of coaching our managing partner, Manny Serra, when he was in high school. It’s been enriching to share my passion for basketball and mentor young athletes while dedicating myself to the legal profession.

In 2008, I established my law firm, leveraging my experience and expertise to defend numerous clients facing DUI and criminal charges successfully. My trial skills and track record have earned my clients’ and my peers’ trust and respect.

I am proud to be a member of the Florida Bar and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Additionally, I hold certification as a DUI defense specialist from the National College of DUI Defense, demonstrating my commitment to staying at the forefront of my field.

Beyond my legal practice, I actively contribute to the legal community by serving as a board member of the Broward County Bar Association and the South Florida Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Furthermore, I frequently share my knowledge and expertise as a speaker at legal seminars and conferences.

My dedication to my clients is unwavering. I am known for my hard work and compassion, always going above and beyond to fight for their rights and secure the best possible outcomes. This commitment and professionalism have garnered me numerous accolades, including being named one of the “Top 100 Criminal Defense Lawyers in Florida” by The National Trial Lawyers, recognized as the “Best DUI Lawyer in Fort Lauderdale” by Avvo, rated as “Superb” by Martindale-Hubbell, and listed in “The Best Lawyers in America.”

While my legal career is a significant part of my life, I am also a devoted husband to my wife, Kyley, and a dedicated father to my two boys, Chase and Luke. My experiences as a husband and father have deepened my empathy and understanding, enabling me to connect with my clients personally and advocate fiercely for their rights.

If you or anyone you know is facing criminal charges in South Florida, my team and I are highly qualified and experienced attorneys who can provide you with the expert legal representation you need. I am committed to fighting for justice and providing compassionate support throughout the legal process.

Susan Lawson_Rossen Law Firm_FedBarSusan Lawson, Esq. Board Certified Criminal Defense Trial Attorney Partner | Rossen Law Firm

Hi, I’m Susan Lawson, a Partner at Rossen Law Firm. I take great pride in being a Board Certified Expert in criminal trial law with over 15 years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve fearlessly advocated for my clients in both State and Federal court, earning a reputation as a dedicated and passionate legal advocate.

Growing up in South Florida, I intimately understand the local legal landscape. However, my expertise extends beyond Florida, as I’ve also practiced criminal law in Maryland and the District of Columbia, broadening my knowledge and skills in the field.

Over the years, I’ve handled many cases, boasting an impressive track record of over 100 jury trials. From driving under the influence and drug offenses to more serious charges like sexual battery and homicide, I’ve stood by my clients, ensuring they receive the most vigorous possible defense. My journey in law began with my educational pursuits. I earned my bachelor’s in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida and later pursued my juris doctor degree at Saint Thomas University School of Law. During law school, I was deeply involved in the International Moot Court and Intercultural Human Rights Law Review, reflecting my dedication to legal excellence and my passion for seeking justice.

I chose a career in law because of my love for litigation and my desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I firmly believe in the power of my voice, knowledge, skills, and passion to bring about change and protect the rights of my clients who depend on me.

Joining the Rossen Law Firm was an easy decision for me. The firm’s core values and commitment to excellence resonated with me deeply. I appreciate the team’s collaborative approach and strong work ethic, where every case is treated as a collective effort to secure the best outcomes for our clients. At Rossen, we treat our clients like family, and our relentless pursuit of justice drives us forward.

Outside of my work at the firm, my family plays a central role in my life. I cherish every moment spent with my husband, two young sons, and our beloved French bulldog, Brody. We are die-hard Atlanta Braves baseball fans, and most weekends, you can find us on the field, enjoying the love of the game together.

My commitment to my clients, extensive experience, and dedication to justice have earned me a reputation as a formidable force in criminal defense. I approach each case with tenacity and genuine concern for those I represent, embodying the values that define my work at the Rossen Law Firm.

Together, we strive to make a real difference in the lives of those we serve, which keeps me passionate about what I do every day.

Krista Richman_FedBarKrista Richman, Esq. Criminal Defense Attorney Partner | Rossen Law Firm

Hi, I’m Krista Richman, and for over 12 years, I’ve dedicated my career to criminal defense, championing the rights of those accused of crimes. Since beginning my journey in the legal field in 2011, I’ve devoted myself entirely to this challenging yet rewarding area, where courage, grit, and determination are part of my daily life.

My passion for the law shines brightest in the courtroom, where I relish arguing motions and engaging in trials. But I firmly believe that the groundwork for any successful defense lies in the meticulous preparation that happens far from the public eye. Through thorough investigation and open, honest communication with my clients, I lay the foundation for our success together.

Throughout my career, I’ve navigated the complexities of the legal system, taking on 30 jury trials that range from misdemeanors to life-punishable felonies, including Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Attempted Murder, and First-Degree Murder, to name a few. My expertise also spans specialized cases, such as 10-20-life gun cases, drug trafficking, and homicides, showcasing my commitment to defending diverse clients.

My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida Gulf Coast University and a Law degree from Nova Southeastern University. While at Nova, I was actively involved in the Nova Trial Association and was honored with the highest grade award in the Criminal Justice Clinic, affirming my dedication to this profession.

I pride myself on my exceptional communication and oral advocacy skills, which have been crucial in my pretrial motion practices and overall success in the legal field. My ability to navigate the law effectively was recognized in 2015 when I received a BACDL hat trick for securing three consecutive NOT GUILTY verdicts, a milestone in my career that I’m particularly proud of.

Outside the courtroom, my life is all about family. I’m a wife and mother to two wonderful young daughters, and our family wouldn’t be complete without our two rescued dogs—an Australian shepherd mix and a cavapoo. We’re huge sports fans, especially of the Miami Dolphins and the Florida Panthers, and we share many joyous moments cheering for our favorite teams.

My career as a criminal defense attorney is not just a job; it’s a calling. It’s about fighting for justice, advocating passionately for my clients, and making a difference in their lives. But it’s also about balance, cherishing the moments with my family, and enjoying life’s simple pleasures. This is who I am, both in and out of the courtroom.
