Program Summary

Raising capital for cannabis companies remains one of the most critical and challenging aspects of operating in this rapidly evolving industry; in addition to all companies' conventional legal and business hurdles when fundraising, cannabis enterprises must navigate an intricate web of federal, state, and local regulations that can significantly impact debt and equity financing. Success in closing cannabis industry transactions requires traditional securities law expertise and a nuanced understanding of specific regulatory requirements, including limitations on ownership structure, mandatory disclosures, and complex compliance obligations. This presentation will provide practical guidance on identifying and addressing these unique challenges while implementing effective strategies for successful capital formation in the cannabis sector.
