Kimberly Jackson began her career with the Department of the Interior for the Office of Natural Resources Revenue’s Royalty Valuation Team in June of 2016. As part of Royalty Valuation, Ms. Jackson assisted in providing guidance for issues involving onshore, offshore, and tribal property issues to industry, state, Indian and federal partners. In 2021, Ms. Jackson moved to the Office of the Solicitor, providing legal advice and counsel for the Department of the Interior on matters involving federal and Indian oil and gas interests both onshore and offshore.

Prior to working for the Interior, Ms. Jackson worked as both a consultant and in-house counsel, focusing primarily on issues of land use and zoning, conservation easements, energy development, environmental assessments, real estate, and regulatory compliance. In addition to her work with the Interior, Ms. Jackson is an Adjunct within the School of Business Administration at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.

Ms. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Colorado, a Practical Nursing license from the Community College of Denver, and both her J.D. and LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law & Policy from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
