Shawn assists clients with commercial litigation and real estate collection matters.

Shawn was drawn to a legal career because he saw it as an opportunity to help people fix problems: he’s not merely an attorney, but a problem-solver and a facilitator of real estate and other business transactions. Thanks to his passion for building nuanced arguments, Shawn has always focused his practice on litigation. With extensive experience in court, he has a reputation for not only for knowing what to say, but how to say it to achieve a win for clients.

Prior to joining Husch Blackwell, Shawn primarily represented lenders in debt collection cases, along with work on contract disputes and other civil litigation. He has also represented the consumer and plaintiff side of cases as well, giving him a fuller perspective when he approaches litigation. Today, he helps clients’ real estate transactions close on time by ensuring that any outstanding collection matters are taken care of. Shawn also represents clients in general commercial litigation. He’s known for his diligence and attention to detail while overseeing a high volume of active cases.

Shawn is also known for his business knowledge: before attending law school, he earned a master’s of Business Administration, which provides him with a fuller perspective on clients’ companies. He understands clients’ thought processes, strategies, and operational challenges, and he aims to ensure that his legal advice fits the practical realities of the business world.
