Program Summary

Investment in ambulatory surgery centers (“ASCs”) either directly or in conjunction with a broader practice acquisition, remains an active area of interest for hospitals, strategic buyers, and private equity investors. While ASCs are often attractive acquisition targets, there are several business and regulatory matters of which investors should be aware in order to mitigate risk. This program will explore typical transactional and regulatory issues often associated with ASC transactions, including common acquisition structures, group investment considerations, fraud and abuse issues, restrictive covenants, and anti-trust matters.

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • Transaction Structure Considerations
  • Group Investments
  • Fraud and Abuse and other Common Diligence Issues
