Program Summary

Ransomware attacks are on the rise, posing significant risks to businesses and individuals alike. For attorneys, understanding the legal complexities surrounding these attacks, as well as the critical protections offered by cyber insurance, is no longer optional—it’s essential. This comprehensive program equips attorneys with the knowledge needed to effectively guide clients through the treacherous terrain of ransomware threats, ensuring they are adequately protected and prepared.

The program will delve into the structure and nuances of cyber insurance policies, helping attorneys understand what is typically covered, common exclusions, and how to avoid pitfalls when navigating claims. The program will also explore the broader legal implications of ransomware attacks, from data breaches and regulatory compliance issues to the potential for litigation. By understanding these key areas, attorneys will be better prepared to safeguard their clients' interests both before and after an attack occurs.

Attendees will gain the skills necessary to keep their clients safe in an increasingly hostile digital world. They will learn how to help clients build robust defenses against ransomware attacks, respond effectively if an attack does occur, and ensure they have the right insurance protections in place.
