Program Summary

We don’t have a crystal ball. But we have the closest thing to one – Amy Howe. Amy has a blog, Howe on the Court, and is an independent contractor and reporter for the SCOTUSblog. Amy has previously been an editor and reporter for the SCOTUSblog, argued before the Supreme Court, served as counsel in cases before the Supreme Court, and taught Supreme Court litigation at both Stanford Law School and Harvard Law School.

Amy will review the cases argued during the first part of the Court’s 2023-2024 term, such as the challenges to a purported racial gerrymander in South Carolina’s congressional map and to the constitutionality of the law providing funding for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a major Second Amendment dispute, and a case involving the social-media activity of public officials. She will also preview some of the upcoming cases in the second half of the Court’s term.

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.
