Program Summary

Your tools aren't failing. Your adoption is

This is not a software pitch. Client experience is treated as an operational discipline — trust, culture, measurement, governed AI, and stack design. Five sessions show how each layer gets built, from first power user to firm-wide default.

Leave adoption to a few power users, and the tool fails. Run a firefighting shop, and efficiency drops, good people leave, and clients feel the strain. Skip measurement, and the client journey designs itself. Keep AI at the individual level, and the firm never compounds the gain. Buy from the overpromising super provider or the cheap knock-off, and the stack serves the vendor.

Attendees walk out with the operator's toolkit: practical steps that build trust and make new processes stick. Habit resets that make gift-giver proactivity the default. Healthcare-borrowed techniques to design, measure, and improve the client journey. A human-in-the-loop augmentation playbook — policies, procedures, and habits — ready to run across teams. And a clear method for evaluating vendors and assembling a stack that actually delivers.

Key topics to be discussed:

  • Trust-First Adoption
How to move a firm from a handful of power users to genuine firm-wide adoption by building trust and making new processes stick.
  • Proactive Firm Culture
How resetting team habits ends the firefighting tax, reduces turnover, and makes gift-giving proactivity the default.
  • Measuring Client Experience
How healthcare's patient-experience discipline translates into concrete techniques for designing, measuring, and improving the client journey.
  • Human-in-the-Loop AI
How an augmentation playbook of policies, procedures, and habits lets a firm run Case Status automations and AI while keeping people in control.
  • Vendor Trap Avoidance
How to spot and steer around the two common traps in a crowded market: the overpromising super provider and the cheap knock-off.
  • Building the Stack
How to evaluate overlapping legal tech vendors and assemble a stack that serves the firm and its clients.

This course is co-sponsored with myLawCLE.

Agenda

SESSION 1 – Your Team Won’t Adopt What They Don’t Trust: Fix That First | 10:00am – 10:30am

Tools do not fail because they are bad; they fail because teams do not trust or adopt them. This session focuses on the change management side of client experience, showing how to move a firm from a handful of power users to genuine firm wide adoption of its CX tools. Attendees leave with practical steps to build trust, drive adoption, and make new processes stick.

Speakers: Brian Page

BREAK | 10:30am – 10:35am

SESSION 2 – Gift Givers & Firefighters: Why Culture Is the Outcome, Not the Recipe| 10:35am – 11:05am

The biggest hidden tax on a firm is a firefighting culture. When every day is reactive, efficiency suffers, good people leave, and clients feel the strain. This session reframes culture as an outcome rather than a recipe: build the proactive habits and systems, and an elite client first culture follows. Attendees leave with practical ways to reset team habits, reduce turnover, and make gift giving proactivity the default.

Speakers: Travis Howard

LUNCH | 11:05am – 1:15pm

SESSION 3 – What Hospitals Get Right That Law Firms Get Wrong | 1:15pm – 1:45pm

Most firms do not track or measure client experience with any real discipline, while healthcare has built entire systems around the patient experience. This session brings those lessons across, showing how to design the client journey intentionally, measure it, and improve it. Attendees leave with concrete techniques, borrowed from healthcare, for building an experience around the client.

Speakers: Jeff Robbins

BREAK | 1:45pm – 1:50pm

SESSION 4 – Human in the Loop: The Augmentation Playbook That Works | 1:50pm – 2:20pm

Client Intelligence and AI automation are powerful, yet most firms only scratch the surface at the individual level rather than the organizational one. This session lays out a real augmentation playbook: the policies, procedures, and habits that let a firm use Case Status automations and AI to engage clients consistently while keeping people in control. Attendees leave with a framework they can operationalize across teams.

Speakers: Erik Montaña

BREAK | 2:20pm – 3:20pm

SESSION 5 – Cut the Noise: Build a Tech Stack that Actually Delivers | 3:20pm – 3:50pm

With so many legal tech vendors and so much overlap, it is genuinely hard to know how to build a stack. This session helps operators cut the noise and avoid the two common traps: the overpromising super provider and the cheap knock off. Attendees leave with a clear approach to evaluating vendors and assembling a stack that serves the firm and its clients.
