With the complex maze of state and federal laws and regulations, very few attorneys, prosecutors and even judges know what types of firearms are lawful under state and federal law or when an individual becomes prohibited from purchasing, possessing and/or owning firearms and ammunition, let alone what relief mechanisms may or may not exist.
