This seminar will discuss how the form 990 can be used to advance the cause and mission of an organization, and conversely, how some 990 mistakes can derail the organization by triggering an audit. Topics will include how to utilize the Schedule O and other narrative questions to highlight the organization’s accomplishments, how to check for internal consistency, and will examine the definitions of some key words and phrases used in the 990 to correctly answer operational questions.
