OPM won’t plan your retirement for you
Federal retirement is not one decision — it is a stack of them. A CSRS or FERS pension, Social Security timing, TSP options, Federal Employee Health Benefits and life insurance elections, the FERS Supplement, and a 10% pension bonus available to certain retirees. Each has its own rules and its own paperwork.
Employees who wait for personalized support from OPM or agency shared-services centers often find it slow to come. Miscalculate the pension, and retirement income falls short. Claim Social Security at the wrong time, and money is left on the table. Overlook the FERS Supplement or the 10% bonus, and eligible retirees never receive them.
In one hour, benefits specialists from The Federal Benefits Group walk through the full picture: calculating your CSRS/FERS pension, getting your highest possible pension and Social Security payment, TSP while employed and in retirement, and health and life insurance on both sides of the retirement date. You leave with a clear understanding of how your federal benefits work in retirement — and the “how to” of starting the process once ready.
