Carl Berglind | Greenberg Traurig, LLP
Carl Berglind is a Shareholder with Greenberg Traurig’s Health Care & FDA group, based in Denver, Colorado. Carl focuses his practice on M&A and other strategic transactions in the healthcare industry and advises healthcare companies and investors on corporate and healthcare matters across a broad range of subsectors. Carl started his career as an associate with large international law firms in New York and Denver before transitioning first to in-house positions, and later to non-legal business roles for several years, before again returning to law firm practice with GT in April 2021. He is active in GT’s Health Care, Corporate/M&A, and Life Sciences groups.
In his business roles, Carl served as the CEO of an early-stage animal health / AgTech company, VP of M&A of a private equity backed ophthalmology platform, and Senior Vice President of Strategic Transactions at a Fortune 500 diversified health care services company. Carl was born in Sweden, and grew up in New York, Copenhagen (Denmark), and Brussels (Belgium). He speaks fluent Swedish and conversationally fluent French and Danish. He uses his background by working with international clients in addition to his domestic health care transactional practice.
Carl received his J.D. from Cornell Law School in 2000, where he was a John M. Olin Student Scholar in Law & Economics, and received his B.A. in International Relations, summa cum laude, from Boston University in 1997.
